you think a role -- nuclear energy is going to play in all of this? >> well, we're getting 20% of our electricity from nuclear power and stable for a listening time. the big story in the electricity generation is in wind. wind is now -- came from nowhere to it's now 4% of the electricity in this country. we're getting from wind power and the department of energy says we can grow that to 20% which would be on par with nuclear power in just 15 years if we stay the course and important to continue to invest in the fur which you are that way. >> bob, i mean, you are talking about the potential progress here in a second term and one of the first decision that is president obama faces right now is the keystone pipeline. and i think there's possible consequences for emissions from approving that. i think the expectation is to be approved. when's the estimate of the epa? something like over a billion tons of co2 emissions over 50 years could be produced by this pipeline. are you concerned whatever, a lot of good you are seeing here in the second term offset by approving the keystone? >> the p

. that shows the impact of this. but around the north east, the department of energy has warned because of declining production in canada of natural gas and the inability to get the cheap fracking gas to the northeast, northeast bills are absolutely going to soar, hitting the highest level since 2008. >> neil: driven by the weather or more than that? >> no, i think it's really the weather, right now. if you look at the volatility of the natural gas prices in the northeast, and the inability to get natural gas where it needs to be, you are seeing extreme volatility, not only in the prices of natural gas, but for electricity and other uses right now. you know, and this is the way the rest of the country would have looked, neil, if it weren't for the fact that fracking has really changed the world as we know it. right now, you are paying $22 per million metric btu. the rest of the country, henry hub, you are 360. it shows what a major impact that has had. bottom line here, when you heat with heating oil, a new high for the year and to be honest with you, that fuel is being phased out. natu

rain yesterday in arizona and most of that energy now, pulling out here across parts of the central plains and there you see that pink, that's where we're concerned at least to start right now, about icing. warmer air moving over the cold air at the surface and the rain hits the ground that's frozen and it freezes on contact. and roads across areas of iowa and maybe around the st. louis area where more generally towards illinois and that's going to be a zone for some icing and eventually later on today, in towards chicago. to the far north of that, places like minnesota, northern minnesota and much of wisconsin we'll be talking about snow. but this storm moving in. the good news, behind this, things are going to warm up quite a bit and big changes. look at today's high. better than yesterday. above freezing for the first time for lot of people in about a week and that's a nice break. tomorrow, you start to see the temps climb and towards the northeast. by tuesday. 60 degrees in washington d.c. and behind it, the next batch of colder air it's not as cold as the last one, welcome news
